2009.12.13 – Jangan Kuatir (Don’t Worry)

Tuhan memberkati kita semua

Mazmur 103:15-18
103:15 Adapun manusia, hari-harinya seperti rumput, seperti bunga di padang demikianlah ia berbunga;

English Version

Today I heard a sentence which personally, really hit me.
I discover this sentence during my activity as a Sunday school teacher, when I heard my fellow teacher preaching to the children of the class. This week topic is “Don’t Worry

When I take the time to think deeply about the sentence I heard; I realized that even us adults are still doing the same thing. Now, let me take the opportunity to share with you what I heard from my fellow teacher

“Don’t say to God how big your problems are, but say to your problems that you have a Great God.”

I believe most of us are already doing some ministry work at our own church, but the thing is even thou we already serve a ministry (or maybe more) – seldom we still focus ourselves to the difficulties of the problem we are encountering at the moment, rather than to focus our mind to the how mighty our God is; the same Almighty Lord power who can overcome anything. On the other hand, we knew that our God is not a God who love to interfere with our problems if we don’t come to Him and ask for His power to overcome it. It doesn’t mean that our God is a God that don’t know our problems, or He is a God who don’t care about us, but God wishes to teach us (through our problems), so that we rely ourselves, our thoughts, our lives, completely, only to Him alone.

Actually problems are already exist on earth, and never let ourselves to think that problems and temptations are from God. Because temptations comes from ourselves, our carnal desires and the devil just know how to “flame” our carnal desires, making us fall into sin.

However, if we ask God to get involve with our struggle – believe it and have faith in it, He will make all our hardship into something good and beautiful.

God bless us all

Psalm 103:15-18 (New International Version)

 15 As for man, his days are like grass,
       he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
       and its place remembers it no more.

17 But from everlasting to everlasting
       the LORD’s love is with those who fear him,
       and his righteousness with their children’s children-

18 with those who keep his covenant
       and remember to obey his precepts.
